2020 AMBASSADORS

Katie Benge

Regular Class Time: 6:05am FIT

What is the biggest thing you've learned or developed at 2020?

The biggest thing I’ve learned at 2020 is the simple importance of just showing up. Showing up and working hard expands much farther in my life outside the gym after class. I feel good mentally and physically, am driven to make better choices outside of the gym, work harder to stick to good habits and routines, and have so much more energy. Plus the added bonus of interacting with friends, coaches, and positive people on a regular basis is a major win! They all give me so much good energy to start my day. It’s so much more than the hour or less I spend at the gym. So just show up!

What is your favorite workout or movement?

My favorite workout is Fight Gone Bad and my favorite movement is a snatch.

What motivates you to help others?

My own experience at 2020 motivates me to help others. I was hesitant and skeptical before joining, and it was way outside my comfort zone. After jumping it, it has been so rewarding in so many ways!

Chris Birnbaum

Regular Class Time: 5:15pm or 6:00pm weekdays & anytime on weekends

What is the biggest thing you've learned or developed at 2020?

The ability to be uncomfortable and push past it...long ways to go still though.

What is your favorite workout or movement?

Squat Clean or anything involving the assault bike.

What motivates you to help others?

Seeing what it has done for me and where I was at when I started to now. The proof is in the pudding and it just takes positivity and commitment to keep achieving your goals and becoming healthier!

Kelley Colby

Regular Class Time: 5:15am, 5:30am or 6:00am

What is the biggest thing you've learned or developed at 2020?

I have learned just how important it is to sleep and lower stress for your health and fitness.

What is your favorite workout or movement?

I like burpees!

What motivates you to help others?

I really enjoy watching people accomplish something new. As a coach, I liked seeing how someone would doubt themselves and then accomplish that same movement down the road.

Maria Ianni

Regular Class Time: 8:30am or 12:00pm FIT

What is the biggest thing you've learned or developed at 2020?

The biggest thing I have learned at 2020 is about nutrition, sleep, and mobility. AND…not to compare me to others in relation to body or strength. Because of my back, I have to do what works for me and keeps me as pain-free as possible.

What is your favorite workout or movement?

My favorite movements are the CORE Program movements. Hint hint!!

What motivates you to help others?

I think helping, supporting, and encouraging others is just a part of who I am. It is a win-win!! You feel good for helping and the other person is better off because you did help.

Alissa Jackson

Regular Class Time: 5:05am FIT

What is the biggest thing you've learned or developed at 2020?

The biggest thing I’ve learned through 2020 is that group classes are the only successful option for me to be consistent and that a group class full of supportive, amazing individuals truly drives me to be consistent.

What is your favorite workout or movement?

I don’t like admitting this but, I think my favorite movement is the burpee. This is a movement that I feel like I have improved on and it always feels like a whole body workout!

What motivates you to help others?

I love seeing joy in others. What better way to see this joy is watching others succeed? This is what motivates me to motivate and help others find successes, whatever that success may be.

Diane Law

Regular Class Time: Anytime between 5:05am and 1:00pm

What is the biggest thing you've learned or developed at 2020?

Community fitness is better than individual fitness!  Show up!  I love having accountability partners, workout partners, and meeting new friends with similar goals.

What is your favorite workout or movement?

My favorite workout is a hard question, likely Grace or Fight Gone Bad because they push me to push harder and push me so far out of my comfort zone every time.  Favorite movement is Overhead Squats, I’m blessed with mobility and OHS put a magnifying glass on any imperfections in my squat, stability, and overhead position.

What motivates you to help others?

After years of team and club sports and then entering the corporate world and trying to maintain my fitness, I truly appreciate the impact and encouragement of team sports and group fitness.  Challenge, encouragement, accountability, and commiseration are keys!  In every class there’s someone to push me to be better, require me to show up and be my best for that day, and suffer along side.  I’ll do anything I can to be one of those people!.

Paul Madden

Regular Class Time: 6:00pm

What is the biggest thing you've learned or developed at 2020?

The biggest thing I've learned at 2020 is the importance of surrounding yourself with like-minded people who encourage you. Also, the value of consistency. If you are held accountable then you are more likely to show up for class. I try and maintain a very regular schedule throughout the week.

What is your favorite workout or movement?

My favorite movements are generally body weight movements- pull-ups, toes to bar, handstand push-ups. I also like squat snatch and overhead squats.

What motivates you to help others?

I still remember being new to 2020 and how intimidating it can all be. I try really hard to introduce myself to someone new and help them feel comfortable. It's always a good feeling to walk in and have someone recognize you or remember your name. I also love seeing someone accomplish a new skill that has alluded them.

Kama Moseley

Regular Class Time: 5:30am or 6:00am during the week & 7:30am or 8:30am on Saturday

What is the biggest thing you've learned or developed at 2020?

How an old dog can learn new tricks! I truly learned to run correctly. And found a new way of staying fit that did not involve 60 min of hardcore cardio.

What is your favorite workout or movement?

I LOVE the long Saturday grinders 30 min or more! Where we do a whole host of different things.

What motivates you to help others?

It brings me joy to know I have helped someone. Whether it’s introducing them to an astrologer or helping them save money to simply making them laugh... I just enjoy making and seeing others happy :-)

Pat Saysoff

Regular Class Time: 6:00am or 8:30am

What is the biggest thing you've learned or developed at 2020?

Being consistent with showing up takes you so far. At a certain point, you have to take a serious look at the way you are eating and how much you are sleeping to achieve the changes you are expecting.

What is your favorite workout or movement?

Cindy.

What motivates you to help others?

When I joined the gym there was a group of people that was already established in the gym and they welcomed me in and showed me how they used the programming to the fullest to get the results they wanted. I feel like it’s something I need to pass on.

Leah Taylor

Regular Class Time: 5:05am FIT or 5:15am CrossFit

What is the biggest thing you've learned or developed at 2020?

I have learned what a supportive workout environment looks like and I love it! I have amazing friends from being a member of this gym. Also, I have learned to keep at it. We all go through good times and bad in our workout lives, but just keep at it!

What is your favorite workout or movement?

I love that I can do a true pull-up! Though I also like wall balls, thrusters, distance running, & overhead squats.

What motivates you to help others?

I love seeing people improving in their everyday lives from being healthy and working out. There are so many benefits from eating right, drinking water, and just exercising, and everyone deserves to feel their best every day!
